Product Launch Specialist, Quincy

Purpose:

The Product Launch Specialist is an integral part of our launch operations, serving as a liaison between the Operations, Research and Development, Quality, Marketing, Extraction, Materials, and Batching Departments. The Product Launch Specialist helps to ensure that new orders are successfully released into production by effectively planning, coordinating and communicating with the appropriate parties form all aspects including developing packaging, label design and approvals, creating checklists and timelines for all products currently in development for future launches. You will work closely with project teams, management and staff to ensure the necessary resources are involved in, aware of and trained on each operation. You will interact with operations teams, safety, R&D, and possibly suppliers to ensure crucial information is available and communicated in various forms. You will work with training and support groups to develop and execute communication, training and support plans. Specifically, in this role, you will focus on team goals, cross-communication while launching products and solutions that affect operational day-to-day productivity and high customer satisfaction.

Key Job Elements:

  • Participate in product development and process review meetings
  • Coordinate and create documentation, launch, and training material
  • Understand and communicate the product release dates
  • Communicate critical release information to key members of management
  • Establish and deliver key messages and talking points in collaboration with product engineering and management
  • Ensure launch notes and other crucial details are properly communicated and documented
  • Education / Training:
  • Bachelor of Science is highly desired for this role
  • Lean Manufacturing Training desired

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High degree of creativity and problem-solving ability, packaging experience, and launching of retail products is a plus
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Deep understanding of packaging development and product marketing and release
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background screening

Salary will be commensurate with experience and the range is $50K annually.  A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40-45 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
