Patient Care Representative, Deerfield Beach

This position reports to the Manager, Delivery Operations and works in partnership with the Retail & Security teams to ensure consistent and timely deliveries. Successful candidates will be primarily responsible for advising, selling to, and delivering products to patients, depending on the duties assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care

  • Create an environment of “Patients First” focusing on excellent patient interaction
  • Recognize and appropriately respond to the patients with ease and compassion
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with patient information and interactions
  • Multi-task, think critically, and work quickly to resolve problems as they arise
  • Create and execute patient orders based off physician recommendations and accurately deduct the amount from the Office of Medical Marijuana Use Registry (OMMUR)
  • Maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of the facility and delivery vans. This includes restrooms, break areas, reception area, and parking lot
  • Keep current with company policies and procedures
  • Attendance at team meetings and training, where applicable

Delivery

  • Responsible for operating company vehicle in a safe manner and maintaining a clean driving record within acceptable company guidelines
  • Provide timely, secure, and professional delivery service to patients
  • Coordinate deliveries with Patient Care team
  • Receive cash and CanPay payments from patients for each delivery
  • Performs basic vehicle and fluid level checks
  • Exhibit polite driving etiquette
  • Load and unload products in delivery vehicle, strictly adhering to company procedures
  • Work with Patient Care team to resolve product/service problems
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager, Delivery Operations

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License with excellent driving record
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to pass a Florida Department of Health Office of Medical Marijuana Use Level 2 Background Screening, as well as DOT background check
  • 2+ year customer service or security position experience
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and SMS for drivers is preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must possess a positive and professional attitude
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies and systems
  • Able to work nights, holidays, and paid-overtime, as necessary

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the Florida Medical Marijuana Rules & Regulations is a plus
  • Desire to constantly learn and seek out new information about cannabis as a medicine and understand cannabis in general. Patient care reps will work with in-house cannabis experts to continue their cannabis education.
  • Required competency to learn, understand, and perform functionality within:
    • POS/CRM
    • FL Department of Health OMMU Patient Registry
    • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), listening, and empathizing
  • Ability to work in a team environment and give and receive feedback
