Job Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic, professional individual who is passionate about the cannabis industry to fill the role of Extraction Technician. This individual would report to the Extraction and Manufacturing Lead in our processing laboratory in Miami, Florida. This is an opportunity to grow with our company to the next level.

Responsibilities and Duties:

-Maintain clean extraction and laboratory environment which adhere to SOPs, GLPs and GMPs.

-Preparation of equipment and plant material for extractions.

-Assist in filling, labeling and packaging of inventory according to Curaleaf procedures.

-Experience in mechanical, electrical and operating systems used in production and manufacturing environments.

-Maintain strict inventory records of all raw materials, supplies, and equipment.

-Complete the cleaning and sanitization of all production equipment, work surfaces, and tools according to SOPs and GMPs.

-Store supplies and equipment according to Curaleaf procedures and proper GMPs.

-Responsible for proper waste disposal according to guidelines and Curaleaf policy.

-Must have knowledge of: Basic theory of pneumatics, basic pneumatic components, flow rate and pressure on circuits, pressure regulators, flow regulators, compressibility of fluids, similarities and differences between pneumatics and hydraulics, basic fault finding, different types of valves and methods of operation, valve components, valve identification and practical inspection, basic fault finding, inspection and changing of seals on a like for like basis.

-Provide proper atmosphere for employee’s attitudes and morale.

-This position will be a night shift, hourly position with the possibility of advancement to the day shift.

-Must be flexible to work a set schedule and weekend hours upon request.

-Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

-Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in troubleshooting maintenance equipment
  • Knowledge with Preventive Maintenance of large equipment
  • Understanding of state and local laws
  • Understanding of proper and safe handling of hazardous materials
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Prior experience as an Extraction Technician is preferred.

Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
